Invisalign Invisalign® is an alternative to traditional braces. It uses clear, metal-free, removable aligners to straighten your teeth. They cannot be seen at a conversational distance and you can take them out when eating and drinking.A 3-D model of your teeth is created using custom impressions, pictures, and x-rays. Dr. Frankart then designs your treatment plan with a computer program so you can see exactly how your teeth are going to progress over the course of treatment. A series of clear aligners are made and you will likely wear each set for one week each. The average treatment takes 6 months or less. Upon the end of treatment, you will be given retainers. It is very important to wear your retainers after treatment is completed, or you will need refinements to correct any shifting of the teeth.
